Dispite this we were downgraded to village status in 2011 and in 2020 it was announced that Widdlehole would be incorporated into outer Bideford. Thanks to pressure groups we are still officially Widdlehole, have our own village council, and will continue to declare our independance from Bideford, regardless of what the new North Devon show.

How to get to Widdlehole.

Widdlehole is situated between Bideford and Eastleigh, just south of Westleigh in North Devon.

In the 1800's it was a market town, but these days it's more of a village. But it's still a massive hit with tourists thanks to our fun fair, musems, and a selection of beautiful gift shops full of tourist tat.

This web site is managed by Mr Brian Morganmorganson, the chairman of the Visit Widdlehole Group, after a lengthy legal battle with Martha Tiggs of the village council over control of the site.

Ms Tiggs runs one of the tea rooms here, it's not the best, the carpets are old and smell of urine. While we are obliged to run advertisements for Tiggys For teas, it should be noted the owner of Widdlehole.com in no way endorses that grotty little establishment.
